The college admissions process was really stressful for me because I had a lot of essays to write, but Julia was extremely helpful and made it so much less stressful for me. I couldn’t have done it without her. My experience with Julia was amazing for a number of reasons. First, I was not a good essay writer to begin with and I wasn’t interested in English during my past years in school. When it came time for the college admissions process, I didn’t know how to approach the personal statement. I ended up choosing to write an essay about my experience working at a hospital and how a certain experience influenced my interests in medicine. When I first wrote my personal statement, it didn’t sound great, and even after I read it through I couldn’t understand what I was saying. I rewrote my statement a couple times more and picked a different topic, but no matter how much I tried I couldn’t put my words together in a way that would help someone get a deep understanding of me. It’s easy for me to talk, but it’s really hard for me to write. Since I had a lot of experiences in medicine, I had a lot to write about, but I just didn’t know how to do it well. I came to my English teacher, and she made a couple of edits to my essay and she told me to make it more detailed. I took my teacher's advice, but the more detailed I made it, the more confusing it was to read. I understood that if I couldn't understand my own essay then a college admissions counselor would definitely not understand my essay. My mom reached out to Julia to help me with my essay, and I thought it would help a little bit but not a lot. That turned out not to be the case, because I received a lot of help. Before I started working with Julia, I think that I might have had a 2/10 essay at best, but after it was a 9.5/10 -- as perfect as we could make it. The first time I worked with Julia, I understood she looked at essays differently than I looked at them. She had a talent which I didn’t have and a special ability to edit like a master. If I sat down and revised an essay for a whole year, I don’t think that it would be better than one that Julia edits in an hour. When Julia worked with me, it was almost as if she cared about my essay more than I did. We went over the essay multiple times and gave it multiple read throughs to make sure it was as perfect as it could possibly be. After a couple times working together with Julia, I really became comfortable and she was really flexible with me. If there were three qualities that could best describe her, they would be: 
1. Professionalism, because she is literally perfect at editing essays. 
2. Understanding, because she could understand everything I was saying to her and helped me put it on paper. For example, she could take a simple story or experience and show me how to use it to help the reader understand what I wanted to say. 
3. Hardworking, because she tried as best as possible to make my essays perfect. I could go on and on because I have never worked with someone before who cares so much about my work. Julia could understand me better than any of my teachers. After working with her, I started to become a better essay writer myself. I found I could construct paragraphs better and I used better grammar. I highly recommend working with Julia if you are struggling with an essay or a paper. She is a really big help and has a really big heart.
